Testimonials anyone??

What exactly IS Facebook? I have an account now, because I figure if my parents have one, then it must be okay, but now I'm wondering what it's all about. How safe is it? Is it basically an email slash photo album slash chatroom? Sounds convenient. What's your take on it?

In my blogger point of view Facebook is a way to "reconnect" and find people you've lost touch with. I find it inferior to blogging though b/c you can only find out so much info from it. It is much more low maintenance than a blog.

On Facebook nobody can see any information about you except your profile picture, network, and any friends you may have in common. The only way they can access any more info is if you allow them to become your friend. Still, you should exercise caution with what info you post. I like it. Also, there are a ton of optional bells and whistles with which to waste your time.
