MY LUNCH!
That's right. When I pulled from the mailbox this afternoon,
the principal letter with information about the start of school,
I felt a wave of almost nausea welling up within me.
NO-O-O!!!
It's inevitable, though.
Jarid had not one iota of sympathy for me, either.
He never really has.
Also,
I'm learning that if one eats a steady diet of oatmeal cookies,
it improves one's regularity.

Where's my cookies? OH Celia. You're breaking my heart.
I'm about to lose over $500.00 dollars when school starts. Just to get the oldest two in the doors! And I'm not talking new school clothes--I'm talking FEES!!
I hope in about 2 years to better understand this post!
Cookies! Who knew?
I was so excited to see that cookies could be healthy that I forgot to say something about school. Hmm I guess I'll say enjoy the few remaining days of summer.
Oatmeal is great for reducing cholesterol, too. I'm in. Do they have raisins? Ceci, I felt the same you do about school the last few years I taught. Loved it, but it was a struggle to go. You are such a great teacher!
Yes, Oatmeal IS an awesome grain for staying regular and removing cholesterol. ;-)
I've been really loving making "wheat berries" lately(just take your unground wheat and cook it in water for a few hours) . They are also great for regularity and are full of protein. They make a great cereal and can be used to replace ground beef in most recipes. I made some yummy lettuce wraps with them the other night.
I also had a love/hate relationship with teaching the one year I taught. At least you have the summer with your kids, are off when they are off, have vacations when they do and don't have a lot of take home work. There are lots of positives right? Hope you have a GREAT school year.
((hugs))
